With this innovation, the STF seeks to make Brazilian justice more speedy and efficient.
MARIA's arrival is an important milestone in the modernization of the Judiciary.
The tool promises to help organize thousands of processes, allowing overseas chinese database work to be done more quickly and with fewer errors.
What is the MARIA robot?
The MARIA robot is a generative artificial intelligence developed to support the STF on a daily basis.
The acronym MARIA stands for Artificial Intelligence Writing Support Module . The tool was created to read and analyze processes and, based on this information, produce summaries and reports .
Among the robot's main functions are:

Write summaries of ministers' votes in important cases;
Prepare procedural reports , providing the case history, previous decisions and main points;
Analyze complaints (RCLs) that reach the STF and carry out an initial study on them.
The MARIA robot also has the ability to learn from data. This means that as it is used, it can become even more accurate and efficient.

Why did the STF create the MARIA robot?
The STF is the highest court in Brazil. Every year, thousands of cases arrive at the Supreme Court for analysis.
This large volume of work can be very difficult to organize and resolve quickly.
